President Mr. Senthil briefed the below points in his speech President explained CAMS Subscription Rs.5000 was inevitable due to increase of Confed Subscription Rs.650 per member and also auditing fee expenses raised for Society registration ,GST and IT filing so it was inevitable to have this subscription considering coming years in mind.

 

CAMS society registration related work is in progress and will be completed within a couple of month delay due to election and covid. Assured that will be done with the help of CAMS Auditor and explained the floor the need of two additional amendments in bye law regarding The name of association to be shortly called as “CAMS“ instead of Computer Associates of Madurai Society for operation ease and the next one is formation of Core committee with all past president to be aligned in a group and the explained the purpose and powers as below

 

The Core committee permanent in nature shall consist of past presidents, whose membership is in current and excludes anyone who wishes to contest in the current election and had not attended at least one GB during the precedent term. Such contesting member may join the core committee once the term is over for which Election the member contested. Any circumstances arising out of no confidence motion well be dealt by this committee. 

 

This committee will initiate election process in due time, filing of GST Returns, Income tax fillingand renewal of firm registration. Apart any new Bye-law amendments must be carried out with 2/3 majority of Core Committee members. Any policy decision like permanent asset creation and selling of such assets should be carried out with 3/4 majority of Core Committee Members. Core committee members may attend any meeting at will without voting rights. They may exercise their vote during the Election. 

 

The core committee member list will be circulated along with the new team of office bearers. Floor approved the amendments after a discussion.

 

Since two team nominated for the current year, President cum Epo Officer Mr. Senthil called for a ballot paper election for office bearers and Confed Ec under the two Presidential candidate Mr. Saravanan and Mr. Suresh. Outstation members first time allowed to participate in election via evote ie they should vote for a member duly signed in letter pad and send a copy to President and joint Secretary via their official mail which was taken in count in presence of two team election representative. Finally Mr. Suresh team won the election by securing 53 votes against 43 from Mr. Saravanan team.
